Gyanshala (Education Support Organization)

Gyanshala was established in the mid-1990s and provides quality primary education in Ahmedabad's underprivileged communities. They aim to set up a replicable and scalable model to provide good quality basic school education to children from poor and low-income rural and urban families (90-95% of India’s children) on par with what is available to urban upper-income classes.
Leap to Shine is partnering with them at their Community Learning Program centers where out-of-school children receive a quality education. These children live in the slums. There is another model under which Leap to Shine is offering tablets to scholar kids who are enrolled in low-fee schools. These children will use the educational tablet as a personal learning aid to revise, self-pace and comprehend topics they need extra focus on.
